The Series’ mission is to provide incentives and opportunities for Jackson and surrounding communities to get fit and active.
There are nine races in the series (Ground Hog Gallop is not used for points). Participants in each race earn points toward the series, so there is added incentive for people to enter. Runners and walkers must participate in at least six events to qualify for age-group awards.
- Run Age Groups: 0-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-9, 30-34. 35-39. 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-66, 67+
- Walk Age Groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50=54, 55-59, 60-66, 67+
Twenty points will be awarded to the first-place runner and walker overall, with second earning 18, third earning 16, down to two for 10th place. Points are also awarded for overall Masters and Grandmasters top-five places, as well as in each age group.
Participants who take part in 8 of the 9 events receive a Orthopaedic Rehab Series shirt. Those who participate in all 9 events will receive a coveted award announced at the award ceremony at the Ground Hog Gallup.
Series awards do not include Kids’ Run events. A tie is determined by the fastest 5K time.
Age for this year is determined by your age on June 23 (Concord Classic)
1st place overall in each age group will receive an award at the end of the series, YOU MUST complete 6 events to win an age group award.
Tie breakers will be determined by the fastest 5K.
