- AGE GROUPS FOR SCORING
RUN AGE GROUPS:
0-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-59, 80-84, 85-89
WALK AGE GROUPS:
0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
OVERALL SCORING:
For each running event and each walking event, the first 10 male and first 10 female participants across the line receive points in the overall category
Points awarded in the overall group are separate from points awarded for Age groups.

Masters:
For each running event and each walking event, the first 5 male and first 5 female participants 40 years old or older receive points

POINTS DISTRIBUTION IS AS FOLLOWS:
Ties are determined by the fastest 5k time.
1st place: Runner/Walker overall earns 20 points
2nd place: Runner/Walker overall earn 18
3rd place: Runner/Walker overall earns 16
4th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 14
5th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 12
6th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 10
7th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 8
8th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 6
9th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 4
10th place: Runner/Walker overall earns 2
Points are also awarded for:
Overall Masters Top 5 finishers
Grandmasters Top 5 finishers
First place overall in each age group
IMPORTANT NOTE:
UPDATED INFORMATION FOR THE 2021 ORS RACE SERIES:
Your Race Age - Birthdays - Age Group Changes:
1. Your age as of the first race you participate in will be used as your age category for your points for the Series.
2. You must participate in 6 of the 9 races (any distance) to be considered for Series prizes.
3. Your age category will be your age at the time of the first race that you participate in.
Note: You will not switch age groups throughout the year.
